Chuck Jones

Chuck Jones Date of birth: September 21, 1912
Date of death: February 22, 2002

This is taken from an interview with Chuck Jones:
“I'm still astonished that somebody would offer me a job and pay me to do what I wanted to do. And to this day, that's been the astonishment of my life, and delight of my life, and the wonder of my life, and the puzzlement that anybody would be so stupid as to be willing to do that. I hear all these success stories of people, these captains of industry, these forgers of the world, and empire builders and so on. And they talk about all the money they've made and become presidents and all that, and I thought, jeez, but look at me. When I was offered a chance to be head of studios I wouldn't take it. I like to work with the tools of my trade. The tools of my trade is a lot of paper and a pencil, and that's all it is.”

I grew up watching Looney Tunes on TV. I loved Bugs Bunny and all those great characters as a kid. I watched them with my kids on Saturday mornings and yes, admittedly, I even watch them to this day even when my kids are not around.

Well, I hit the jackpot tonight while looking up Chuck Jones on the internet! I found Chuck Jones collection of Thomas Timberwolf!! This was Chuck Jones last body of work before passing away in 2002 and in my opinion some of the best flash animation out there. He really brought his style of animation alive on the web.

Thank you Chuck!

Mckenna's Crazy Dress up Day

Not a happy camper.

Today is "Crazy Dress up Day" at Mckenna's Preschool. Mckenna was so excited to dress funny and do her hair. As a matter of fact she was happy until I started to take her picture... honest!

Crazy Hair Day

Devyn with a mohawk.

Today is "Crazy Hair Day" at Devyn's school. He wanted me to give him a mohawk so I got out my shears and went to work. It turned out pretty good. I always wanted to have a mohawk when I was in school but, never had the guts to do it. The great part about being a parent is living vicariously through your children.
